Fo haircuts with a clipper and no guard used but you want just a stubble, what is that setting called?

I usually have to point to the clipper and tell them to set the lever so it's pushed in the direction where it won't be a complete shave but leave some stubble. What is that called, ';open setting'; or something like that?Fo haircuts with a clipper and no guard used but you want just a stubble, what is that setting called?
I don' t think there's a name for that. Just keep on telling whoever cuts your hair that you want to keep some stubble.Fo haircuts with a clipper and no guard used but you want just a stubble, what is that setting called?
Hi. yes, its just an open blade/setting etc. jut tell hair dresser to leave the guard off the clippers. and put it to the lowest setting, if possible. thats what i tell them to do.

That's a half. If the lever isn't pushed it's a Zero. I believe it leaves 1/16th inch on the head. Just tell the stylist you want half all over(if you get it buzzed all over) and he/she should know what you mean. You can also ask for 1 1/2, 2 1/2, etc to go longer than the guards.
